5. Savoy Cinema
The Savoy Cinema is the oldest operational cinema in Dublin, which started life in 1929 as a 3000 seater single screen cinema and now has 6 screens with over 2000 seats including the 780 seater Screen Number 1. The Savoy cinema has not only exhibited some of the world’s greatest movies but has also stood witness to an ever changing Irish society, over the years it has it has become a Dublin landmark being the oldest surviving city-centre cinema. The Savoy is now the preferred location for the majority of Irish Premieres in its famous No 1 auditorium that still retains the red drapes on its big screen.

4. Cineworld
Cineworld is the biggest cinema in Ireland, with 4 floors and 17 screens. It was opened in 1995. They screen blockbusters, small independent movies and a large amount of foreign films, even a few classics every now and again, as well as their fair share or premieres! It’s a huge complex and offers so many movies – so you’ll be spoilt for choice. They even have a cafe bar where one can enjoy a coffee or an adult beverage before or after your film. The cinema is famous for offering a membership card allowing unlimited cinema for just €22.90 per month.

2. Abbey Theatre
Abbey Theatre is Ireland's National Theatre, funded by the Arts Council. It opened its doors to the public on December 27, 1904. In its early years, the theatre was closely associated with the writers of the Celtic revival and now is a repository of the unique cultural traditions of Ireland. In every endeavour, Abbey promotes inclusiveness, diversity and equality.
